“So how are things going with Siena?” Micah asks as we crowd around the grill on his deck later that afternoon, cooking up steaks for dinner. “She still turning you down?”

“Based on the grin he came home with, I’m thinking he may have made some progress,” Donovan says perceptively.

“Yeah, I did. We made out at the library,” I tell them with a quick grin, intentionally leaving out what went down in the changing room, because I’m still dazed and confused about it. Siena’s mouth was amazing, but then afterward, it was like she was mad at me for enjoying myself. I don’t know what was going on with her. After saying she was “fine,” I wasn’t able to get anything but one-word answers from her until I finally took the hint and left her alone.

“What are you sixteen?” Rogan asks.

I shrug and take a sip of beer from the bottle in my hand. “It was fun. When was the last time one of you made out with a girl and let it end there?” Glancing around at their faces, I know not a one of them have only kissed a woman lately. Not that Siena and I stopped at a kiss. She got off on it, then took care of me much later when I was so worked up, I nearly came from her finger touching my cock, but none of that is shit my boys need to know.

“What’s the point of just making out?” Micah asks. “Blue balls sucked ass. I don’t miss them at all.”

“It’s the anticipation,” I explain. “Not sure if more will happen the next time or not, but wanting it so damn bad.”

“You are so screwed,” Callihan mutters with a shake of his head.

“It does seem like an awful lot of work for something that won’t even last a week,” Rogan mutters.

The reminder that I’m only here for three more days is a blow to the gut. What did I really think would happen between me and Siena? That she would go from loathing me to wanting to move to New York? That’s ridiculous. A girl like her, she would never move to a big city. I don’t think… Not that I want her to, because a relationship only leads to marriage, and Siena said she definitely wanted to be a mother while I can’t even make that happen even if I wanted to. Which I fucking don’t.

“I’m not really sure what the hell I’m doing,” I admit to the guys. “All I know is that there’s something about being with her that’s…easy. I’m not sure if that’s the right word. She’s not easy! She’s stubborn and difficult; but when I’m with her, I know she’s real. There’s nothing fake about her. She’s not pretending to like what I like or make herself seem perfect. There are no bullshit games. It’s just me and her, the real me, not the playboy billionaire version that people think I am. I feel like I’m a normal guy.
